I just stumbled upon this place in the restaurant district near the main temple in Suzhou. In fact, I was in another restaurant about to eat until I saw the prices. that combined with the fact that they sat us in a dining room that felt like a hallway because the main dining room was filled with a wedding party made us up and leave. This was after having walked into another restaurant, having a look around and walking out. We were not going to win any popularity contests in that neighborhood, I imagine. We went back to find Hao ren, which we had passed earlier and had to slip among the many tables looking for diners that were about to finish eating so we could stake out our territory. This gave us a chance to peruse the menu before seeing a menu by scoping out what people were eating. I didn't write anything down when I was there, so I can't tell you anything specific about the food, save to say that everything we had was delicious. - Charlie , posted 03/20/06 |
